The Center for Sacred Studies stands in solidarity with Black, Brown, Indigenous People of Color
We are heartbroken and mourn the tragic loss of the lives of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and so many others. Our deepest condolences go to the families of George Floyd and to all those who have lost loved ones due to the systemic violence perpetrated on Black people. We stand alongside our Black, Brown and Indigenous People of Color and honor the Sacredness of All Life. #BLACK LIVES MATTER!
And still our hearts continue to break for all those that are suffering from the Covid virus. We mourn the loss of our relatives that have crossed over, those that transitioned alone, and offer prayers and ceremonies to help them on their journey as we pray for their families. The Black, Brown and Indigenous populations have been hit the hardest, where the inequities in our institutional systems operate on multiple levels disproportionately devastating their communities.
Our vision is clear as we look to the future to focus on what is breaking through – we see a world where our values of Respect, Responsibility, Reciprocity and Relationship guide us to honor and celebrate the Sacredness of Life. To weave a New Story for our grandchildren, our great grandchildren, for the Next 7 Generations and beyond, and in so doing, heal the generational lines backwards and forward in the weaving, building a world where BLACK LIVES MATTER. Where ALL LIFE MATTERS.
