Vibrational Journey Inspired by Element Air
Pierrette found a keen interest in sound meditations with the gongs early on. After a lifetime of yoga classes she decided finally, to follow her passion for yoga and become a certified yoga teacher. This was a beginning that took her down a path to sound and vibrational healing with the gongs. Her experiences with Yin yoga and sound meditations were so soothing and quieting to the bouncing monkey mind, that soon, she too, was collecting singing bowls and various other sound making tools. This lead to an inevitable meeting of a now good friend and mentor, that lent her, her first gong to play with. That was all it took to understand the power of vibrational resonance in the body for calming the stressed nervous systems, for bringing deeply embedded mental issues out of hiding, relief from body pain and an overall soothing release to the daily grinds humanity suffers from on an on going basis.
She has studied with Gong Master Sotantar Suraj and Grand Gong Master Don Conreaux, and has participated with several group facilitators in Sound Healing Venues, volunteering her time and sharing the power of the gongs. Playing at her favorite music festival, the Integration, beach gong-a-longs with fellow players, spiritual centers as well as personal sessions are but a few places the gongs and she have entertained . Pierrette then went on to work with people in drug and alcohol rehabs as well as with at-risk young students at an O.C. Access high school. There, wonderful results came in helping them cope with their journeys back to mainstream life, through sound meditations.
“The gong is more accurately a force of energy, like a divine engine, affecting the body’s meridians. By and large, after it’s over, you just feel great. You feel like you’ve been healed by the spirit of nature.”
