A year ago today…

A year ago today, Morton County Sheriff’s Department and other militarized police raided the newly formed Treaty Camp at Standing Rock. As the memories of the violence remain, so too does the knowledge of why people stood together just last year – for the water and for the earth.

Our movement continues and we encourage you to get involved!

While the camps at Standing Rock have physically closed, the work that was begun there has continued throughout the United States and overseas. On Monday, Seattle activists, many of whom had been at the Standing Rock encampment, shut down 106 bank branches as part of the #DivestTheGlobe campaign. As our friends at MazaskaTalks.Org ( https://mazaskatalks.org/…) explain, #DivestTheGlobe was a 3-day action organized to divest individuals and communities, disrupt business as usual, and draw attention to local projects around the world through nonviolent direct action. The campaign was held from October 23rd-25th but you can still participate by divesting [https://bankongood.com/mazaska/…] your personal finances, signing the EquatorBanksAct petition [https://www.equatorbanksact.org/…] , and more.

We are going ON TOUR in solidarity with our movement!

To help you connect with others in your area, our film AWAKE: A DREAM FROM STANDING ROCK will be touring the US and internationally to aid awareness, action and healing. Join us at one of our upcoming events and learn how you can make an impact in your community.

Our tour will feature live appearances and workshops by filmmakers Floris White Bull, Doug Good Feather, Myron Dewey and Josh Fox at certain locations.
